The WhereToEat restaurant awards ceremony was held in Kazakhstan for the third time. The winners were selected by a panel of 100 experts who live and work in the country: restaurant owners and managers, chefs, sommeliers, bartenders, business representatives, journalists, and bloggers.
The WTE awards do not accept applications for participation. A shortlist of 53 best restaurants was compiled based on a secret vote by the experts. It included 40 restaurants in Almaty, nine venues in Astana, two in Kostanay, and one each in Ust-Kamenogorsk and Petropavlovsk.
