Gravity Bar
First on the list are the most talked-about burgers in Tashkent! Found in the exclusive rooftop bar at the Sapiens Hotel, these burgers have become as sought-after as an invite to the bar itself.
The burgers at Gravity Bar truly live up to the hype. The soft brioche bun, juicy home-style patty, and slathering of sauce form the perfect base for your choice of toppings. Their local blockbuster is the Blue Cheese Burger, where creamy Dorblu adds a gourmet twist to classic street food. For purists, there are non-blue cheese options; for spice lovers, a jalapeño version; and for the adventurous, a cherry-infused creation.
The only downside? They sell out fast. But don’t worry—it’s only until the next day.
Loft
It would be a crime not to mention the Borzyy burger from Loft Cafe on our list of Tashkent’s best burgers. Back in 2017, the cafe introduced the burger at a record-breaking price of 90,000 sums. Despite a wave of criticism on social media, it quickly became a bestseller—and earned its bold name.
Weighing over 700 grams, the Borzyy burger truly lives up to its reputation. It’s a meal best shared with a friend, complete with two patties, BBQ meat, pickles, two fried eggs, onion rings, Swiss cheese, and Hollandaise sauce, and served up with a hearty portion of fries.
The menu also features other burger options, including the Borzyy Junior and Teriyaki, along with a «diet» version with lettuce instead of a bun. Still, these burgers all have one thing in common: they’re full-on meals, not just snacks.
Shef Burger
Ever tried a burger with bright pink buns? Look no further than the Pink Flamingo from Shef Burger, made with sun-dried tomatoes. The menu also features the «Meet Joe Black» burger with a dark bun and peanut butter, the «Meat Grinder» with two marble beef patties smothered in BBQ sauce, and the «No Meat» vegetarian burger with a crispy potato pancake. Shef burgers are famous for being incredibly juicy. Even after you’ve finished every last crumb, you’ll find a few spoonfuls of flavorful juice still in the wrapper—proof of just how good they are.
Black Star Burger
This Russian franchise is known for its massive menu, offering 20 different burger options, from timeless classics to bold culinary experiments. Highlights include the VIP 13, featuring a beef patty, three types of cheese, three sauces, and even blackcurrant jam; the Italian Burger, stuffed with Caesar salad; the Tashkent Slaw with creamy coleslaw; and the Hawaiian, topped with grilled pineapple.
For burger purists, they also offer smash burgers with two thin beef patties—simple, minimalistic, and hard not to love.
Gōsht
Gōsht also has a wide selection on offer, but we’d like to focus on their two standouts: the Rob Roy, layered with thin slices of ribeye steak, and the juicy Steak Burger, grilled up in a Josper oven. Both burgers are simple and straightforward, allowing the quality of the beef to truly shine.
For vegans, there’s a chickpea patty paired with fresh veggies and a wasabi-cilantro sauce on a bed of crisp romaine leaves—a light, refreshing option that’s perfect for summer.
Myata Platinum
Myata may be known for their board games and cold beer, but they do have one burger that’s not to be missed: the braised ribs burger. The burger’s tender rib meat slips right off the bone into the bun, while the rib bone serves as an impressive skewer.
The menu also offers burgers with chicken, beef, and turkey. If you’re looking for a lighter option, you can always swap the bun for crisp iceberg lettuce for a low-carb twist.
Tary
You might be surprised to see a traditional Kazakh restaurant on the list, but Tary offers two delicious options to satisfy your burger cravings. Here you can choose between a classic beef burger or a less conventional horse meat burger. What makes these burgers unique is that each ingredient maintains its own distinct taste, instead of just blending into a single flavor.
If you order a burger, don’t miss out on their signature millet milk tea for a traditional touch. You can enjoy the burgers on their own or as a set with rustic-style potatoes, vegetable spread, spicy peppers, and a glass of chalap, a tangy fermented dairy drink.
The Burger by Havakand
We didn’t expect to include a food court on the list, but The Burger by Havakand is too good to ignore. Weighing just 170 grams each, their mini burgers are perfect if you want to satisfy a craving without reaching an «unbutton-the-pants» level of fullness. Alternatively, their Avocado Burger combines a hot beef patty with melted cheese and creamy avocado for a surprisingly delicious combo.
Ris
If you’re in the mood for something different, head to Ris, where burgers are made with… rice! Instead of buns, the restaurant uses sticky rice patties that hold their shape surprisingly well. Locals have even coined a nickname for the burgers: «guruchburger» (guruch meaning rice in Uzbek).
Here you can try a variety of delicious and unconventional fillings, including shrimp with kimchi sauce, fried eggplant, and even cherry in a black rice bun. It’s a unique experience worth trying.
