Rather than reinventing a familiar classic or dressing it up with unnecessary theatrics, Tosh Coffee leaves it beautifully intact: simple, comforting and deeply rooted in tradition, with a choice of accompaniments for those who like to make it their own. Beyond a well-curated selection of salads, grain bowls and sandwiches, the pastry counter is equally worth exploring, particularly the poppy seed roll, kurt cookie and baked cottage cheese with poppy seeds.
The interior strikes a thoughtful balance between past and present. References to Tashkent Modernism — most notably the reinterpretation of the city’s distinctive decorative bas-reliefs — sit comfortably alongside clean-lined contemporary furniture. The atmosphere is completed by vinyl records, with a collection that continues to grow.
The service mirrors the café itself: relaxed, thoughtful and refreshingly unpretentious. Guests order and pay at the counter before everything arrives at the table, a format that feels intuitive rather than transactional.
