Ultima Guide 2026: Voting for the Best Restaurants in the City Has Begun

Ultima Guide is once again selecting the best restaurants in Tashkent. An AI system has already analyzed 3,000 venues, and now the final favorites will be determined by both experts and users. Voting is open until March 17 in the Yandex Go app. The results will be announced at a formal ceremony in mid-2026.

This year will see the release of the second Ultima Guide for Tashkent. The top 20 restaurants featured in the first tech-driven гастрономический guide were announced on May 22, 2025, at Hilton Tashkent City. You can read more about how it all unfolded in this article.

As before, the guide is compiled in several stages:

First, an AI system analyzed 3,000 venues in Tashkent based on more than 100 criteria, including popularity measured by visits and taxi trips, as well as ratings and the quality of reviews. Whether or not a venue works with Yandex services does not affect its inclusion at this stage.

Next, projects that had been open for less than three months were excluded, along with traditional bars, coffee shops, food malls, and chain restaurants — these formats require a different approach and separate evaluation criteria. As a result, a shortlist of 183 restaurants was formed, from which users and experts will select the best.

The evaluation criteria are clear and transparent:

Food: menu concept, freshness of ingredients, taste, and presentation;
Comfort and atmosphere: noise level and seating density;
Service: politeness and attentiveness of the staff, quality of waiter recommendations, and speed of service;
Interior: from overall design to tableware;
Bar menu: concept and taste of the drinks.

Users can vote only for restaurants they have interacted with over the past year through Yandex services. Voting is available via a link in the Yandex Go mobile app until March 17. At the same time, experts — including local restaurateurs, chefs, and gastro-influencers — are also casting their votes.

The final results will be calculated using a proprietary evaluation model developed specifically for Ultima Guide. The results will then be verified by the international consulting company «Yakov & Partners.» The best restaurants in Tashkent will be announced at a formal ceremony in mid-2026.
