Punto
This trendy neo-Italian spot truly lives up to its name. Punto, meaning point in Italian, was inspired by the circle in its simple yet stylish design—with practically no sharp angles. The interior is decorated with arched ceilings, curved lines, smoothly contoured chairs, and round planters. It’s the perfect spot for a business meeting by the window, a relaxed breakfast on the cozy terrace, or an intimate dinner under soft lighting. Pro tip: Sit in the far corner for the best view of the restaurant’s thoughtfully balanced, almost golden ratio design.
The food at Punto is just as elegant as the interior, with signature twists on timeless classics, including housemade pizza, antipasto, and traditional Italian desserts. We recommend trying the fungi risotto, sweet potato fries with truffle and parmesan, and their signature sorrel-infused liqueur.
Brasserie Lambic
Beer lovers and trendsetters waited patiently for this Belgian brasserie to open—and it was well worth it. The restaurant’s neoclassical interior is bold and sophisticated, with deep wine, emerald, and ink-colored walls and Art Deco-style spherical lights and mirrors. At the heart of the restaurant, you’ll find a contact bar, where friendly bartenders will happily guide you through their atlas of 100+ beers.
While the ambient lighting might not be ideal for selfies, the spotlit tables will make your dinner shots pop for some seriously appetizing photos. Our top picks for both taste and camera include the stuffed potato waffles, shrimp popcorn, and pâté with pear chutney.
La Mer
Bohemian charm meets sophisticated seafood at this beloved spot on Shota Rustaveli Avenue. What began as a cozy two-hall venue—featuring a seafood market and a fine cheese counter — has now expanded, even adding a separate space for Japanese cuisine.
La Mer is especially popular for its high ceilings, arched windows, and exposed brick walls that create an air of understated intellectual luxury. Grab a windowsill seat for views of both the stylish interior and the lively avenue outside. For the perfect picture, we recommend reserving a table on the evening terrace, complete with an order of oysters and prosecco. And don’t forget to stop by the restroom for a quick mirror selfie.
Restaurant 12
Located on the top floor of the Tower Hotel, this resto-bar offers stunning views of the city and a gourmet dining experience. Despite its seemingly moody atmosphere, the space is designed to feel warm and inviting—perfect for flash photography. The textured lights and candles in the center create an especially cozy and flirty vibe.
The most Instagrammable spots include the mirror by the front entrance, which has surely captured many familiar faces over its lifetime, and the long bar that often hosts invited DJs. And of course, you can’t leave 12 without taking a night-time shot of the city.
Here the food is just as photogenic as the ambiance, thanks to Chef Islom Kurbonov (formerly of top Russian restaurants like Sartoria Lamberti, Beluga). We highly recommend the veal and eel carpaccio with coconut-lime cream and a tasting of their 12 signature cocktails.
Breadly on Shevchenko
The new Breadly on the gastronomic Shevchenko Street has already become a fast favorite, especially for the impressive fountain right in the heart of the cafe. The interior is decorated with sophisticated arches and abundant plants, reminiscent of a small European-style courtyard. Here it’s all about «beauty in simplicity.»
Breadly is known for its relaxed ambiance, but this new cafe has a particularly special charm, making it the perfect spot to quietly discuss your favorite books.
The menu will be familiar to anyone who has visited other Breadly locations, featuring European dishes with unique twists, along with freshly baked bread and tasty goodies on display. We especially recommend the cheese cream soup and the tandoori sandwich.
Moona Cafe
A trendy cafe in an unconventional spot, Moona Cafe is located right inside the Moona Boutique, giving you the chance to shop ‘til you drop and enjoy specialty drinks and desserts.
The café blends seamlessly with the fashionable shop, designed in calm sandy tones with oriental arches and hand-carved wooden panels. With its intricate niches and elegant turquoise accents, the space has adopted the charm of historical Uzbek cities. Every corner in Moona Cafe is designed for beautiful photographs, whether it’s the quiet rooms mimicking the adobe houses of the old city or the summer terrace.
If you love matcha as much as we do, make sure to order the cafe’s matcha ice cream, cheesecake, and tiramisu, all with that unmistakable bittersweet flavor and beautiful green hue.
Zira Cafe
Zire is a monochrome, minimalist cafe with an exciting menu and friendly atmosphere. The first floor is styled like a typical city cafe, perfect for meetings or light reading. The spacious glass entrance allows for plenty of natural light, without being blinding (a rare find under the Tashkent sun), while the striking black-and-white cityscape mural is a great backdrop for stylish Instagram photos. The second floor offers a more laid-back vibe, with thoughtfully spaced tables, comfortable wooden furniture, and light-toned walls partially covered in warm ceramic tiles.
It’s clear that the Zira team had Instagram in mind when crafting their menu—the dishes here are beautifully plated and very photogenic. We especially recommend the signature tiramisu crepe, shrimp bowl, and juicy chicken burger, but don’t forget to check out their seasonal specials too.
June
This popular city spot truly lives up to its name — Cafe June is fresh, fun, and full of light. Designed like a stylish urban loft, the space is softened by colorful accents and an abundance of greenery, with a white monochrome finish that makes the cafe appear spacious and bright. During warmer months, the terrace comes alive with cozy sun loungers for relaxing summertime siestas.
JUNE is a popular spot for freelancers, often appearing in Instagram stories with tags like «My office for today.» Plus, it’s pet-friendly, which means you’re sure to see plenty of fluffy faces.
The checkered tables are the perfect backdrop for their all-day breakfast options, pistachio cinnamon rolls, and matcha drinks. #summereveryday
Qand
Step into a world of chocolate and design at the Qand workshop and store. Founder Saidakmal Vakhobov, a devoted collector of Uzbek art, has decorated nearly every wall with beautiful paintings. The green-toned interior is complemented by lush indoor plants, creating a little art oasis in the middle of Tashkent.
Qand is a great spot on hot summer days, kept refreshingly cool to protect their variety of tasty chocolates. Stick around to enjoy a coffee with delicious handmade sweets and chat with the team, or buy some treats to take home or gift to someone special.
