Breadly
8 AM to 10 PM
This cafe chain is well known for its in-house bakery, offering everything from flaky croissants and cheesy vatrushkas to savory open-faced sandwiches that are tempting enough to break any diet. For a tasty breakfast with a European feel, we recommend the Felicita branch, which features a summer terrace for city-watching.
Breadly’s all-day breakfast menu has something for every taste: porridge, all styles of eggs, pancakes, syrniki with dill and seeds, a juicy breakfast burger, and plenty of breakfast combos to pick and choose. Just be prepared for the portion sizes—the Faberge and California meals are topped with half a generous-sized avocado, while the Capri meal offers a hearty portion of seafood.
Chaykof
Mon-Sat: 8 AM to 10 PM
Sun: 10 AM to 10 PM
Chaykof is credited with revolutionizing coffee culture in Tashkent. The coffee chain first opened its doors in 2014, and has remained a breakfast favorite ever since. Order the popular USSR breakfast for a delectable blast from the past, featuring fried eggs, peas, cabbage spread, and sausages. Or if you’re craving breakfast for dinner, you can’t go wrong with the buckwheat pancakes with berry syrup or porridge with ice cream.
The Chaykof branch near Said Baraka can get a bit busy in the mornings, with nearby office workers grabbing their daily dose of caffeine and students enjoying a stylish detox juice before class. In the winter months, the «Orangerie» branch on Shota Rustaveli is the perfect spot to warm up and watch the world go by—if you can find a table.
Benedict
8 AM to 4 PM
The packed tables at the Oybek branch speak for themselves: Benedict offers some of the tastiest breakfasts in the city. Choose from classic benedicts, omelets, and toasts, or more adventurous picks, like rice porridge with octopus and baked peppers or whipped cottage cheese with chia seeds and berries. Benedict’s menu has something for every diet, including «green» and gluten-free options.
If you’re looking to mix up your usual coffee order, don’t miss Benedict’s peanut or blueberry cappuccinos (made with real peanut butter and blueberry cordial), lavender or pistachio raf, bumble with fresh orange juice, or an iced grapefruit «fruitocino».
Rassvet
Weekdays: 8:30 AM to 4 PM
Weekends: 9 AM to 4 PM
This cute and cozy coffee shop near TSUM is beloved for its tasty buns «from childhood» and the friendly magpie that greets guests on the terrace—not to mention their delicious specialty coffee and signature coffee drinks.
Beyond just buns and coffee, Rassvet also singlehandedly revived the bagel trend in Tashkent and boasts delectable housemade pancakes. The menu changes throughout the year, introducing seasonal dishes with figs, pumpkins, mandarins, and more.
Zira
9 AM to 10 PM
Located on Tashkent City Boulevard, Zira Cafe was the brainchild of the design bureau ARC Architects (who also brought us the Kanishka magazine chain, Kosh Havuz boutique hotel, and Dildora Kasimova showroom). It’s a popular spot, with a bright, sleek, and monochromatic interior that’s perfect for lifestyle shots. Luckily, their stylish dishes taste just as good as they look on camera.
The menu is short and sweet, featuring a photogenic benedict, classic rice porridge with peaches, filling English breakfast, mouthwatering shakshuka with parmesan, and other tasty options. We personally recommend the chia bowl with coconut milk, shaved almonds, berries, and granola.
The drinks menu offers a growing array of coffees, teas, and cocktails of all strengths. If you need a morning pick-me-up, you can’t go wrong with their classic mimosa.
La Cantine
9 AM to 4 PM
The team at La Cantine are experts in French pastries and continental breakfasts. Their menu includes savory omelets and eggs benedict, creamy porridge, delicate crepes, filling syrniki, and mini pancakes. Make sure to stop by on Sundays from 10 AM to 3 PM for an exemplary Swedish-style brunch.
If you’re having trouble choosing which branch to visit, we can help: La Cantine Osiyo offers a calm and business-like environment that’s perfect for morning meetings or preparing for the work day. La Cantine Park is more family-friendly, featuring a play area and a lovely view of the Ecopark and city center. With their detox drinks and smoothies, it’s also the perfect stop for a post-workout treat.
Syrovarnya
9 AM to 12 PM
Want an early morning breakfast without sacrificing quality table service? Syrovarnya’s breakfast menu offers five different dish styles for your morning meal: porridges, cottage cheese and egg dishes, pancakes and brioche, croissants and waffles, and hot meals. Of course, don’t hesitate to add the delicious housemade cheeses to your breakfast too, or bring some home for later.
Just keep in mind that Syrovarnya can get busy, so make sure to call ahead and reserve your spot before you go.
June
10 AM to 11 PM
The bright and trendy Cafe June will never go out of style. Their all-day breakfast menu features dishes with salmon, halal mortadella cheese, and classic sausages, two types of shakshuka, syrniki, croissant toast, and avocado toast. Their Middle Eastern breakfast deserves a special mention, with a huge assortment of dips and spreads, toasted bread, eggs, salad, and your choice of drinks. It’s an impressive meal that’s better shared with a friend—unless you’re really hungry, in which case we recommend the «Big Breakfast for Two.» This indulgent set covers your entire table with delectable morning dishes and includes two glasses of bubbly.*
*Alcohol is only available at the Alay branch, which also offers unlimited coffee with every order until noon.
