Make Love Pizza
Even before launching Make Love
Pizza (and always), this Tomsk-born team loved four-legged friends just as
much as the two-legged kind — back home, they partnered with shelters and
animal welfare projects. In their Almaty pizza-and-coffee spot, that love is
even more obvious. There are even tiny dogs illustrated at the bottom of the
coffee cups — enough said.
The thin-crust pizza is top-tier.
When we come with a pup, we order the one with sausage (sorry, vegetarians —
the dog demands sacrifice). There’s also a specialty coffee counter, a great
craft beer selection, and sometimes even a brew for dogs. The owners’ love
for canines runs so deep, they offer custom-made leashes and collars. A triple «woof» for this place!
Coco
At this street food café, dogs
aren’t just allowed — they’re genuinely adored. While you dig into signature
strips and wings, your pup might feel like a local celebrity: expect treats,
cuddles, and maybe even a track played in their honor (okay, that part’s a
maybe).
Coco’s vibe is steeped in street
culture — street artists, DJs, friends, dogs — everything and everyone
belongs. So come as you are, bring your favorite four-legged sidekick, and
order the chicken.
Umami
Ice cream and dogs — do those two
things even go together? Absolutely. Our favorite spot, Umami, sits right by
the «Nedelka» fountain — a perfect place to relax on warm days, listen to the
water, and share a scoop with your pup.
The key here is choosing wisely.
Umami offers sugar-free options, because yes, we all know dogs shouldn’t have
sweets (even if they give you that «please» look). Go for the sugar-free
coconut — and let everyone enjoy their well-earned frozen treat.
Villa Boutiques & Restaurants
Doggy high life at its finest. A
touch of bohemia never hurt anyone — especially when you’re strolling with a
four-legged aristocrat. If you value luxury, fresh air, and manicured lawns
and flowerbeds that look straight out of a magazine, Villa is the perfect
spot for a slow, elegant walk.
You’re welcome to wander the
grounds and enjoy the setting. Stop by Astra for a gorgeous dessert, get a
filter coffee at Vanilla, and if the day’s feeling particularly charmed —
maybe even pick up a watch (it’s about time we measured life in more than just
«dog walks»). Just don’t forget the cleanup bags: the lawns here are
beautiful, and they should stay that way. Style isn’t only about outfits —
it’s also about good manners.
Privychki
Beer is a great isotonic — as everyone knows. Especially after a long
walk, when you and your four-legged partner have done lap after lap around
the dog park on Bayseitova Street. Everyone’s got their job: you throw the
ball, the corgis run. After all that action, it’s the perfect time to catch
your breath at Privychki.
The bar has an impressive beer selection, and sometimes there are more
dogs than people. No one’s going to judge you for chatting with your pup like
they’re your best friend — everyone here does the same.
KetchUp
If a place says its philosophy is
«Burgers and something more, ” you can count on it being about freedom,
flavor, and good company. And by good company, we definitely mean dogs too.
The burgers at KetchUp have no
pretension but plenty of personality: juicy, bold, and unpretentious. Every
one of them nails the meat-to-sauce ratio. Bring your four-legged sidekick,
share a burger (they can have at least one bun), and enjoy an easygoing vibe
where everyone feels at home. Tasty, warm, and fuss-free — the way a real
burger experience should be.
Gornaya
We love places that bring a few
ideas together — and Gornaya is exactly that. What started as a tiny film lab
where you could develop and scan your rolls has grown into a space with
specialty coffee, a small bar, and a great craft beer selection. The vibe is
wonderfully cozy, especially if you’re into film photography and hidden city
corners.
One thing to know: dogs are more
than welcome here. Drop by with your four-legged friend and meet some of the
local regulars — both two- and four-legged. And here’s a tip: your first
order is always free. Come early, grab a filter coffee and a slice of cherry
pie, and enjoy the Twin Peaks energy.
Voronka
A fresh addition to the city’s
coffee scene, where steel meets wood — and dogs meet cheesecake. With a
Nordic vibe, minimalist design, plenty of space to breathe, specialty beans,
and affordable breakfasts, Voronka gets all the essentials right. Grab an Ethiopian
pour-over, a pastrami bagel, settle in by the window, and catch a little
urban zen. And yes, bring your fluffy friend — they’re always welcome here.
